SSUNI Announces New Equality Officer

Genevieve McCollum has been appointed SSUNI’s Equality Officer. The rest of the Executive would like to formally welcome her to the team, and we can't wait to work with her as she starts her new role on our executive!

Genevieve commented “I'm a lower sixth student and I'm delighted to be on this SSUNI executive. I am very passionate about promoting Student Voice and young people’s rights. Within my role as Equality Officer, I want to see to accurate representation of all schools within the organisation and ensure our rights are considered and respected when people in power make decisions about our education.”

Genevieve has a breadth of experience in Student Voice from collaborating with SSUNI to her work with the Northern Ireland Youth Forum and we believe she will hit the ground running to deliver for the students of Northern Ireland.
