Mental Health report with Pivotal PPF

The SSUNI are pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Pivotal Public Policy Forum. The SSUNI are teaming up with Pivotal in order to write a report based on the discussions in the “Mental Health Matters” Working Group, and the responses from our survey. Our aim is that when this report is published, it will be submitted to the Executive and the Education Committee, in the hopes that our policy recommendations will be taken into account and potentially put into legislation in order to achieve the support that is much needed for our young people.

Pivotal PPF are the only public thinktank in Northern Ireland. While other major cities have a vast amount of thinktanks, both in the UK and ROI, Northern Ireland was lacking, until Pivotal was established in 2019. While being relatively young, the organisation has already undertaken a huge number of projects in the last 18 months, a reflection of the change that needs to happen in Northern Ireland.

Finally, the SSUNI team would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. While we know that this will be an unconventional festive season, we wish you a safe holiday, and also safe in the knowledge that the team is working round the clock to represent and support you - our students. If you need to reach us, our socials and emails are always open, and even though it is the Christmas break, we will still work to reply to you as quickly as possible.

With love, the NISE x
